The video quality of my first speech was good but I moved my hands a lot and the frame rate of the camera could not keep up this led to my hands appearing blurry throughout the video.
3. Does the speaker do a good job focusing on the speech topic? Are there any parts of the speech that are not as important or necessary to understand the point of the speech? Why or why not? I stayed on topic but there were several parts of the speech that could have been left out to reduce the length of the speech so that the speech would have not have exceeded the speech length requirements.

If not, explain what changes could be made in future speeches to correct these problems. I did a good job maintain eye contact throughout the video, but it was not as good as my final speech.

7. Make any additional comments here:

My first speech, I used the word “um” a lot. I did not have good eye contact and was looking at my note cards a lot. In comparison to my week 4 speech, it is a lot rougher around the edges. My week 4 speech is much more consistent. I use the word “um” a lot less and my eye contact is much better. One of the things that I still struggle with is my time. I have a hard time staying within the time constraints of my speeches and this is something I will need to work on in the future.

Regarding examining my peers speeches, a common theme is that my classmates as well as myself, have a hard time maintaining eye contact. We all seem to be looking down at our note cards a lot. In addition, we like to use filler words during our pauses. This is something we all need to try to be mindful of in the future.
