|Note: You are required to complete the Assignment by Day 3, prior to completing the Discussion.|
In order to develop a prevention or preparedness plan to help mitigate the effects of terrorism, a psychologist working with those potentially impacted by terrorism must first develop an action plan. The goal of such a plan is to identify desired outcomes, develop and assign tasks, and identify the necessary resources that will help ensure that the implementation of a prevention or preparedness strategy is successful.
For this Discussion, you will consider one prevention and/or preparedness strategy that you described in this week’s Assignment. Then, you will think about one way in which you might implement this strategy in your community by identifying desired outcomes, developing or assigning tasks, or identifying necessary resources.
To prepare for this Discussion:
· Review Chapters 24 and 25 in the course text Psychology of Terrorism and the course media, “Prevention,” with Drs. Medrano, Berger, and Staub. Think about how prevention and/or preparedness strategies related to the psychological impact of terrorism might be implemented in a community.
· Select one of the prevention or preparedness strategies you described in your Application Assignment and consider how you might implement the strategy in your own community.
Post by Day 4 a brief description of one of the prevention and/or preparedness strategies that you described in the Assignment and explain how the strategy may be effective in mitigating the effects of terrorism. Then, explain one way in which you might implement this strategy in your own community.
Support your Discussion with specific references to the resources. Be sure to provide full APA citations for your references.
