This benchmark assignment assesses the following Programmatic competencies:

3.2:   Analyze the U.S. stratification system in regards to class.

3.3:   Analyze the U.S. stratification system in regards to gender.

3.4:   Analyze the U.S. stratification system in regards to race.

3.5:   Summarize the elements and functions of social institutions and their place within the social structure.

Instructor Notes:

Topic 5 You provided some good content to support how race stratification can impact the economy. The theoretical perspective is missing. Formatting is an issue so revisit the student success center for details. The references are formatted well and scholarly.

Topic 6

Nearly half of the submission, the introduction, is not about how gender impacts a social institution. The social institution in the latter half of the paper is not well defined. You talk specifically about occupation but not as it relates to the economy which was done better in the previous papers. Clarify this in the final paper and add to the analysis to replace the introduction with relevant content to your topic. Your references are missing information and not properly formatted as a result.
