Case Study Title
Begin typing here. Do not forget to include any sources that you may use. Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
The case study should be 6-8 pages in length. The font should be Times New Roman size 12. There should be one inch margins on all sides. There should not be any additional space before or after the paragraphs. I recommend typing directly into this document and saving it. You will upload the word document on Blackboard.
Do not forget to include background information on the disaster, such as when, where, what, why and how. Do not forget to include the primary hazard along with any secondary hazards. Include the cause of the event and if warnings were possible or issued. Include interesting facts about the event and the number of people affected, injured, or killed. Subheadings may be helpful to further divide this section. Make sure to discuss the special objective for each case study here as well.
In addition to the background, also make sure to address each of the phases and how they apply to the disaster. There should be a heading like the one above for EACH phase. A short description of what is meant by “prevention” may be helpful. Include a minimum of three to five points for each phase.
Sources should be listed on a separate page and should follow APA format; for information on how to cite and use APA you may use Purdue University’s free online resource (2011). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the instructor. Remember, if the citation is on your reference page, it must be cited in your paper, and vice versa. You must have at least five sources, and a minimum of two sources must come from your own research. (Please note, you will likely have to have many more than five resources.)
